In the second half of the nineteenth century, America was flooded with new immigrants. These new immigrants, especially the millions of Irish fleeing Ireland's potato famine of 1846, helped to popularize the celebration of Halloween nationally. Taking from Irish and English traditions, Americans began to dress up in costumes and go house to house asking for food or money, a practice that eventually became today's "trick-or-treat" tradition. I think he got abducted by aliens.
ReplyDeleteI think he was murdered or something happened to him that caused his death. I don't think he just ran away.
ReplyDeleteI think that this started as a joke and ended up going wrong, possibly something involving his fraternity.
ReplyDeleteI think he was murdered or kidnapped, because he wouldn't leave without all of his personal items and he didn't have a big reason to leave on his own at all. John Croucher
ReplyDeleteI think it was an accident or prank gone wrong.
ReplyDeleteI think he was murdered and dragged off to be buried or taken somewhere he could not be found.

I think he was pranked by his fraternity brothers and it went bad.
ReplyDeleteRon Tammen is probably dead by now, but I don't think he died when he first disappeared. I think he just left
ReplyDeleteI think a fraternity prank gone wrong
ReplyDeleteI think the fraternity's hazing went wrong. The fraternity put Ron in some field by Seven Mile. He ended up at the people's home wondering where he was then he went wandering again and got shot by someone in Seven Mile then they cleaned up the death.
ReplyDeleteI also believe it could have been a Fraternity prank gone bad or someone who was jealous of his success and popularity. The spotting in New York could have been a trick played on hsi mind and the man didn't actually see him, just thought he did.
ReplyDeleteI believe that he ran away with the intention to never ever come back

ReplyDeleteI think that what Mr. Kelly's hypothesis makes a lot of sense but I wonder what happened to him after did he not wanna go back. Well looking at middletown now was some of middletown a bad place and some guy tried to rob him and killed him.
ReplyDeleteI think Ron Tammen was apart of a drop off and later decides to just run away, and not to be found.
ReplyDeleteI believe that he had ran away to avoid a problem that was occurring within his daily life for several weeks maybe months.
ReplyDeleteI think the fraternity prank went wrong. They dumped him somewhere near Seven Mile. He wandered throughout the night while it was really cold and ended up dying from hypothermia.
ReplyDeleteI think that Ron Tammen wanted to disappear and left everything as it was so that he wouldn't leave a trace. I think that he was trying to leave behind his studies, or maybe he was avoiding the draft. Nonetheless, I believe he planned to disappear and leave everything behind since everything was covered up so well. -Olivia Tilton
ReplyDeleteHe got sick and tired of the fraternity's B.S. , that he got sick of humanity and started living in the woods away from society and vowed revenge to forever "haunt" and cause mayhem against everyone. For enjoyment, he goes and acts as the ghost of that fish guy. The dead fish he found made him become the fish ghost. Like Batman.
ReplyDeleteI think his fraternity brothers' made a mistake and didn't want anyone to know, so they never told the truth of what they really did.
ReplyDeleteAddie Brown
I believe he was on heavy drugs and went to Hamilton to find drug dealer
ReplyDeleteI believe he had some type of mental disorder like schizophrenia and he got disoriented
ReplyDeleteI believe Mr. Kelly's idea of the drop off would explain why he did not take anything when he left. -Cassie Vandale.
ReplyDeleteI think he had some sort of mental disorder and he just up and left with no traces behind.
ReplyDelete-Brice
I think that it was a part of the fraternity to show like the freshmen how imortant it really is.
ReplyDeleteHe got really drunk then ran away and forgot how to come back so he started a life as a traveling rodeo clown. Austin Dick
